Hommage au Cervin - Matterhorn
Il y a des endroits dans le monde où l'on se retrouve tous au moins une fois dans sa vie, et je pense que le Cervin est l'un de ces endroits.
Pourquoi ? - J'aimerais bien le savoir.
Peut-être sa forme pyramidale ? J'aime à penser qu'il y a autre chose ; une attirance peut-être un peu magique, quelque chose qu’on n’arrive pas à expliquer, d'irrationnel. On sait simplement qu'on doit y aller et c'est comme ça.
Et quand nous y sommes, nous avons l'impression d'être au bon endroit, d'être là où il faut, comme il faut.
Vraiment il y a quelque chose de spécial là-bas, là-haut.
There are places in the world where you all meet at least once in your life, and I think the Matterhorn is one of those places.
Why ? - I would like to know.
Perhaps its pyramid shape? I like to think there is something else; a somewhat magical attraction, something that we can't explain, something irrational. We just know we have to go and that's how it is.
And when we are there, we have the impression of being in the right place, of being where it is necessary, as it is necessary.
Really there is something special there, up there.

Les glaciers ressemblent à la surface de Europe, la lune de Jupiter.
The glaciers resemble the surface of Jupiter's moon Europa.
Parfois il y a de heureux hasards comme quand on développait nos films argentiques. Ici des lignes par un effet de moirage qui semblent s'élancer dans le ciel depuis la montagne. Je n'ai aucune idée de comment cela est apparu, mais j'aime bien l'effet produit.
Sometimes there are happy coincidences like when we were developing our analogue films. Here lines by a moiré effect which seem to soar into the sky from the mountain. I have no idea how it came about, but I quite like the effect it has.
Voilà la fin du voyage, je ne peux que vous encourager à y aller si vous le pouvez. Par n'importe quelle saison.
